Poetry and other art for Lovers' Loop Retreat

Lovers' Loop women's poetry group

Writing has been an important part of our lives for as long as we can remember. Poetry, specifically, is a wonderful creative and emotional outlet. We are privileged to share poetry at our home with a small group of women from the Asheville area on the first Sunday afternoon of each month.

Most of us share a poem we have written and ask the group for input. The environment is non-academic and non-threatening. It's a comfortable, supportive place for encouragement.

You are welcome to join us if you're here. Bring a poem or just come and listen.

Check this site again soon to see some of our poetry.

Lovers' Loop Retreat art

Our home, including the guest suite, is decorated with women's artwork. Women throughout history often have been overlooked in the professions and the arts. Domestic responsibilities have exhausted women so they have had little time, energy or even identity left to express themselves.

Part of our mission is to encourage women to live beyond their "duties," to be who they are and to express themselves.
